Demmer and Walz
To the editor:
I want to hear what Randy Demmer thinks of my kids, and what his ideas are for reducing the tax burden we all face. I already know what Tim Walz thinks.
For the short term, I think Mr. Walz may have the upper hand on the “reducing government spending” issue. Mr. Walz’s position on most every issue will allow us to eliminate state funding of education. Can you imagine the savings? Mr. Walz supports bailing out failing corporations. Our children don’t need an education to learn how to make an operation successful. They’ll get bailed out! Mr. Walz supports “universal health care.” Our kids don’t need to work for the education required to get a good job. They’ll just get taken care of. Need an education to decide what kind of light bulb to use? Mr. Walz has already made that decision for you. Want to work extra hard so you can “get ahead?” Mr. Walz is working hard to ensure that your extra effort will go to supporting those that really don’t want to have to work that hard. Need an education to understand the basic language that our country conducts business in? Negative. Mr. Walz supports the kind of diversity that means if you don’t understand our country’s language, then we’ll produce everything in one of the 114 languages you do understand.
The beauty of this entire plan? It doesn’t cost you anything. It only uses federal money. And as everyone knows, that’s not our money. It’s federal government money.
I don’t know Randy Demmer. I hope that when I do get to know him I find out that he wants to offer my kids the chance to be challenged, and the chance to be successful. Mr. Walz must be pretty smart to have gotten elected, but to be honest, I’d like to see our next representative allow our children the chance to succeed.
