8:00 am	First-Timer Delegates and Alternates along with host BPOU Chairs are invited to attend a newcomers welcome coffee and rolls reception with CD 1 Chair Steve Perkins (Look for the sign in the meeting room next to Registration Desk, ends at 8:45 am)
8:30 am	Registration Opens (MSU Student Union 2nd Floor Convention Hall Foyer)
9:00 am	Convention Convenes – Call to Order, Steve Perkins, CD 1 Chair Invocation Presentation of the Colors by American Legion Lorentz Post No. 11 Pledge of Allegiance, led by Penny Louise Flavin, CD 1 Deputy Chair Reading of the Convention Call, motion to dispense with the reading
9:15 am	Greeting to Mankato by County Commissioner Mark Piepho Introduction of Dignitaries: CD 1 Leaders, Legislators, Legislative Candidates, and others present - CD1 Deputy Chair Penny Louise Flavin - Outgoing Deputy Chair Chuck Bradford - Secretary Marv Howatt - Treasurer Virgil Buysman - Finance Chair Gerald Woodley - State Vice Chair Duane Quam Chair’s Remarks and Report Election of a Temporary Chairman, David Sturrock, MNGOP Secretary/Treasurer Election of a Temporary Secretary, Marv Howatt, CD 1 Secretary Motion to Ratify the CD1 Chairs Appointment of Parliamentarian, Sergeant-at-Arms, Election Judge, Tellers, Pages, and formally appoint the Rules, Credentials, and Resolutions Committees (Required Committee Filings – Resolutions: floor resolutions; Nominating/Search: candidate nominating petitions; all can be made with the Conv. 9:30 am	Introduction of Keynote Speaker by CD 1 Chair The Honorable Steve King, Congressman, Iowa, 5th District (Congressman King will be in the entry foyer area for pictures with delegates and media interviews)
9:50 am	First Credentials Report – Credential Committee Co-Chairs Al White and Mary Bartz Motion to Make the Temporary Organization Permanent
10:00 am	Adoption of Rule 6 regarding seating of alternates – Rules Committee Chair Greg Bartz Filling of BPOU Delegations – BPOU Chairs seat Alternates in accordance with Rule, report, and secure voting credentials for seated Alternates at Registration Desk
10:10 am	Resolutions Committee Report – Resolutions Committee Chair Chris Klienschmidt Resolutions paper ballot procedures will be explained. Ballots must be completed and turned in not later than 11:30 am.
10:20 am	Adoption of Balance of Rules – Rules Committee Chair Greg Bartz
10:30 am	Updated Credential Committee Report
10:45 am	Motion to Consider Endorsing for 1st District Congressman Nominating/Search Committee Report – Steve Perkins, Chair Vetting Sub-Committee Report – Bruce Kaskubar, Chair The order of candidate nominating presentation determined by lot
11:00 am	Candidate Nominating Presentations
12:00 pm	Balloting Begins for Endorsing 1st District Congressman In accordance with the Rules, balloting will proceed from one ballot to the next. After the 1st ballot, the convention will recess approximately 15 minutes for lunch. An updated Credential Report will be given at any time there is a change in new registrations that would affect the minimum required for endorsement (Rule 19(f). Candidates for statewide office will be recognized between ballots only. A straw vote for Governor will also be taken at approximately 3 pm, volunteer recognition, and then the Resolutions balloting report and consideration of any resolutions as required. Acceptance speech by endorsed candidate Other Business Adjournment Senate District Caucuses, if needed.
Note:	Times in italics are approximate.Our goal is to adjourn not later than 5:00 pm but delegates and alternates should be prepared to stay longer (into the evening if need be) to complete the endorsement process. It is anticipated that each ballot process will take an average of about 30 to 45 minutes. (i.e., 10 ballots about 6½ hours)
